08/26/2016 Slough considers new housing companies Two private housing companies may be set up by Slough Borough Council to meet the demand for rental homes. The council’s cabinet will meet on Monday, September 5 to decide on offers to establish the new subsidiary housing companies. If agreed, the first company - provisionally called Herschel Homes - will buy new, high spec homes and let them out at market rates. The second company - provisionally called Slough Homes - will buy a mix of new and second hand homes to let out at lower rates to

08/24/2016 Bracknell completes first 'greening phase' The first phase of Bracknell Regeneration Partnership’s (BRP) £6.25m ‘greening plan’ to improve car parks and gateways has been completed. The work included improvements to the front of Princess Square car park, decorating, new lights, and improvements to the entrance/exit ramps. The south foot bridge linking Princess Square with the High Street car park has been improved to create a more welcoming approach to the shopping area and work on the northern link bridge will finish soon. Balfour Beatty started groundworks on the Carnival Pool site in June which included diverting drainage and relocating utilities, hoarding off the area, archaeology and digging out the area
