10/03/2016 £1.8m revamp for Aldershot station A £1.8 million revamp of Aldershot railway station is on track for next year after the council secured £900,000 from Enterprise M3 LEP. Rushmoor Borough Council will receive the funding from the Local Growth Fund over the next two years which matches existing funds of £620,000 from the council itself, £180,000 from Hampshire County Council and £100,000 from South West Trains. 09/30/2016 Heathrow Hub campaign insists 'we're still cheaper' The Heathrow Hub campaign has welcomed the airport’s announcement of more regional flights but says it can still do it cheaper. Heathrow announced as part of its post-Brexit plans it will add 25,000 regional flights per year by 2021, four years earlier than the proposed third runway. The airport says it will also ring-fence capacity for domestic flights to new locations such as Newquay, Liverpool and Jersey and to add frequency to existing under-served destinations such as Leeds Bradford and
