Three blocks, one of 20 storeys, is proposed in Weldale Street on the site of the ‘Wickes Centre’, the retail development currently home to an Iceland store and also previously home to Wickes and the Multiyork stores. Slough Borough Council’s cabinet approved a proposal for Slough Urban Renewal (SUR), a joint venture between the council and Morgan Sindall, to have an option on the land. Initial proposals for the basin redevelopment include housing, landscaping and work to make it a more attractive leisure destination. The cabinet also agreed the housing revenue account business
